Clinical significance and prognostic evaluation value of serum miR-222 and BAFF levels in epilepsy Patients

摘要
目的 探究癫痫患者血清微小核糖核酸-222(micro ribonucleic acid-222,miR-222)、B细胞活化因子(B-cell activating factor of the TNF family,BAFF)水平表达的临床意义及预后评估价值.方法 选取2021年6月至2022年12月惠州市中心人民医院80例癫痫患者为观察组,根据预后情况分为预后良好组(58例)与预后不良组(22例),另选同期惠州市中心人民医院80名健康体检者为对照组.检测血清miR-222、微小核糖核酸-21(micro ribonucleic acid-21,miR-21)、BAFF、白细胞介素-10(Interleukin-10,IL-10)水平,分析血清miR-222、BAFF水平对癫痫患者的临床意义及预后影响.结果 观察组血清miR-222、miR-21、BAFF、IL-10水平高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).预后良好组血清miR-222、miR-21、BAFF、IL-10水平低于预后不良组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).logistic回归分析显示,miR-222、BAFF过表达是癫痫患者预后不良的危险因素(P<0.05).ROC曲线显示,患者入院时血清miR-222、BAFF单独及联合检测癫痫患者预后不良的AUC为0.73、0.78、0.80,均具有一定价值.当血清miR-222、BAFF的cut-off值取1.21、7.83时,可获得最佳预测值.结论 血清miR-222、BAFF水平与癫痫患者预后不良有关,可用于预后评估.
Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance and prognostic evaluation value of serum miR-222 and BAFF levels in epilepsy patients.Methods From the background time of June 2021 to December 2022,80 epilepsy patients treated in our hospital were selected as the observation group;According to the prognosis,they were divided into a good prognosis group(58 cases)and a poor prognosis group(22 cases);and 80 patients who received healthy physical examination in our hospital were selected as the control group for serum miR-222,miR-21,BAFF,interleukin-10(IL-10),and the clinical significance and prognosis of serum miR-222 and BAFF in epilepsy patients.Results The serum levels of miR-222,miR-21,BAFF and IL-10 were higher than the control group,which was statistically significant(P<0.05).The se-rum levels of miR-222,miR-21,BAFF and IL-10 in the good prognosis group were lower than those in the poor prognosis group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the association between serum miR-222,BAFF and poor prognosis in patients with epilepsy,and the overexpression of miR-222 and BAFF were the risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with epi-lepsy(P<0.05).ROC curve showed that serum miR-222,BAFF alone and combined AUC for poor prog-nosis in epilepsy patients were 0.73,0.78 and 0.80,all of which had certain value.And when the cut-off value of serum miR-222 and BAFF is taken as 1.21,7.83 ng/mL,the best predicted value can be obtained.Conclusions Serum miR-222 and BAFF levels are associated with poor prognosis in epilepsy patients,and can be used to predict the prognosis outcome.
