Objective To explore the correlation between serum Cystatin C(CysC)and serum creatinine and the clinical application effect in the prognosis of heart failure patients.Methods 120 heart failure patients admitted to Zhanjiang Central People's Hospital from May 2021 to April 2023 were selected and divided into 41 cases in group A,40 cases in group B and 39 cases in group C according to CysC levels.We compared the serum creatinine,CysC level,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)and analyzed the correlation between serum CysC and creatinine in the three groups;we compared the serum creatinine and CysC levels in pa-tients with different cardiac function classifications and counted the incidence rate of cardiovascular events,the rate of readmission within 3 months and the 3-month mortality rate in the three groups.Results Group A had lower creatinine and CysC values than groups B and C,and higher LVEF than group B and gruop C,while group B had lower creatinine and CysC values than group C,and higher LVEF than group C,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Theserum CysC and creatinine levels were positively correlated(P<0.05).The serum creatinine and CysC levels gradually increased with the increase of cardiac function grading,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There is a statistically significant differ-ence(P<0.05).The cardiovascular event rate,readmission rate within 3 months of group A,group B were lower than group C,and cardiovascular event rate,readmission rate within 3 months of group A were lower than group B,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The subject of the current participa-tion in the study did not occur in the 3-month deaths of the patients.Conclusion Serum CysC can be a good reflection of renal and cardiac function impairment in patients with heart failure,and its increased level will affect the prognosis of patients.
