Study on Resource Utilization of Waste Liquids Containing Lithium from Regeneration of Resin for Boron Removal
In the process of extracting lithium from salt lake brine, resin regeneration waste liquid is produced in the boron removal section. In order to improve the production efficiency, the process of"desulfurization and boron removal-lithium,precipitation,crystallization,washing,mother liquor reuse"is designed, and the valuable elements in the waste liquid are utilized with high value.Under optimized conditions, the removal rates of sulfate and boron were all over 98%,the purity of lithium carbonate product was 98.2%,and the recovery rate of lithium was over 80%.Potassium and sodium could be effectively separated, and the recovered sodium chloride could be used in industry. The by-product calcium, sulfur and boron solid could be used as boron fertilizer raw material. The process operation was convenient, the energy consumption was low,and the environmental protection degree was high. The valuable elements in the waste liquid could be fully recycled.
