In accordance with the concrete reality of China's socialist modernization,on the basis of profoundly summing up both positive and negative experience since the founding of New China and drawing on international experience,Deng Xiao-ping,for the first time,gave a systematic answer to a series of basic questions on how to build,consolidate,and develop socialism in China,such an economically and culturally less developed country.With the premise of recognizing and grasping"the essence of socialism",Deng Xiao-ping conducted in-depth theoretical reflection on"the superiority of socialism"from the dimensions of institution,practice,comparison and value.A systematic analysis of how Deng Xiao-ping discussed the superiority of socialism in order to form a holistic understanding of Deng Xiao-ping's theory of socialist superiority is of great referential significance for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics and highlighting the Chinese characteristics of Chinese modernization on the new joumey of the new era.
