Promoting the Stable Development of the Chinese National Community:A Study of Mao Ze-dong's Strategies for Governing Xizang Autonomous Region
Mao Ze-dong's strategy for Xizang governance is a profound summary and theoretical refinement of practicing Mao Ze-dong Thought in Xizang.Guided by Marxist ethnic theories,Mao Ze-dong's strategy for Xizang governance takes into consideration the history and reality of Xizang,applies the methodology of the broad united front,and integrates the construction of the Chinese national community.It contains the following basic connotations:the peaceful liberation of Xizang,the maintenance and implementation of"17-Article Agreement"on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Xizang,the democratic reforms in a"cautious and steady manner",and the economic and social prosperity and development of Xizang"with the help of the central people's government".The strategy distinctively features in adhering to the combination of Marxist ethnic theories with the specific reality of Xizang,applying the concept of"serving the people"to the whole process of Xizang governance,and correctly grasping the association between commonness and diversity embodied in the principle of Xizang governance.So it lies a theoretical foundation and provides valuable experience for the CPC's strategy for Xizang governance in the new era.
