The Reasons Why the Western Road of Modernization Is Not Feasible for China
The U.S.and Western countries have taken the preemptive opportunities of capitalism,while the nature of capitalism determines that they are bound to carry out expansionary and predatory policies abroad and oppress the relatively backward countries and regions.The modernization path of developed capitalist countries is not feasible for China.It did not work in the past,and it also does not work now.It did not work in the past because the developed capitalist powers would not allow China to follow this path and because China did not have the objective conditions to take this path.It does not work now because China,if it takes the capitalist path,would fall into severe polarization between the rich and the poor and fail to avoid the historical cycle of rise and fall.Therefore,to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,China must continue to adhere to the socialist road.
