Marx's Basic Methodology of Political Economics:A Brief Review
A treasure of Marxist theoretical system,Marx's methods of political economics are a methodological system with dialectical materialism and historical matenalism as its fundamental methods.It is mainly composed of fundamental,basic and specific methods.Analyzing the six basic methods extracted from this methodological system,we may find that most of them belong to the scope of dialectics,such as the method of contradiction analysis,the dialectics of abstraction and concretion,the dialectics of analysis and synthesis,the dialectics of induction and deduction,the dialectics of simplicity and complexity,and the method of specifically analyzing certain conditions and specific problems.The basic methods of Marx's studying political economics remain to be the scientific methodology for contemporary studies of applied economics.A comprehensive grasp of Marx's basic methodology of political economics is helpful to further understand and grasp the rich content and essence of Capital and to analyze,study and solve the problems of economic development and reform in the process of advancing Chinese modernization.
