The Early Presence of the CPC's Central Organs in Shanghai:A Historical-Spatial Survey
From the founding of the CPC to the beginning of 1933,the central organs of the Party were stationed in Shanghai for a long period of time, and the CPC actively analyzed and utilized the unique historical space of Shanghai to lead the national revolutionary movement.Shanghai in modern times was a hub for disseminating Marxism and a stronghold of the Chinese working class. The urban space of"one center with four concessions"shaped a special pattern, and the three-dimensional transportation network facilitated internal and external communication. The transfer between cities highlighted the differences in location, realizing the strategic transformation of time and space in the process of proactive response. The CPC made full use of the"timing"and"geographical advantages"of Shanghai, the earliest location of the Party's Central Committee,to carry out its work, refine its party members, and promote its organizational system and scale. The CPC accumulated valuable experience in urban work.Through systematically analyzing and grasping the conditions and laws of the Chinese revolution, the CPC further enhanced its historical initiative, opened up a new space for revolution, initiated the Chinese practice of"exchanging time for space,"and led the strategic direction of the Chinese revolution at a deeper level.
