The scientific thinking reflects the logical pathways and fundamental principles followed by the sub-ject in understanding and transforming the world,serving as the primary prerequisite for enhancing the fore-sight,initiative,and creativity of practical activities.Although Mao Zedong did not explicitly use terminology related to modes of thinking,an examination of a large number of original historical materials reveals that dur-ing his leadership of the Communist Party of China in revolution and construction,he had already developed a series of scientific thinking methods including strategic thinking,historical thinking,dialectical thinking,in-novative thinking,systematic thinking,rule of law thinking,and bottom-line thinking.These methods are the product of the combination of Marxist worldview and methodology with Chinese revolutionary practice,Chi-nese history,and Chinese culture,serving as the historical origin of the scientific thinking method system pro-posed by Comrade Xi Jinping in the new era.They are also important topics for discussing the advancement of the party's governance capacity building and the modernization of the party's governance capabilities.
