The Yan'an period is an extremely important period in the 100-years history of the C.P.C,during which the Communist Party went through many trials and troubles and finally created splendor.When they first arrived in Yan'an,the complicated situation at home and abroad urgently demanded that the leading cadres of the Party set an example in moral cultivation and ideological understanding.The Communists,represented by Mao Zedong,put forward the standard of cadre morality of"virtue and ability";clarified the ultimate goal of cadre morality of"strive to death without seeking personal gain";formulated the basic principle of"strict col-lectivism",established the basic principle of cadre morality,and developed the spirit of revolutionary heroism in cadre morality.On this basis,a theoretical system of moral education with Communist Party characteristics was constructed.This has not only sharpened the will and character of Party cadres,but has also laid the moral foundation for responding to the complex problems of the times.
