Evaluation of uncertainty in measurement of free formaldehyde in liquid components of reactive polymer materials used in coal mines
The uncertainty evaluation of free formaldehyde in liquid components of reactive polymer materials used in coal mines can provide scientific basis for the quality control of free formaldehyde content determination results and the rationality of test reports in laboratory.According to the limit of harmful substances in decoration material adhesives based on the current standards of AQ 1116-2020 and GB 18583-2008,the content of free formaldehyde in the liq-uid components of reactive polymer materials used in coal mines was determined by the acetylacetone spectrophotomet-ric method, and the uncertainty of the measurement results was also evaluated. The content of free formaldehyde in the liquid component of reactive polymer materials in coal mines was determined with 95%confidence probability(k=2)as(0.056 8±0.001 9)g/kg.The researches indicate that the main factors affecting measurement uncer-tainty include the relative standard uncertainty introduced by weighing the sample, repeatability of sample absorbance measurement, drawing of standard curves,as well as the processes of pipetting and diluting solution, furthermore, the processes of standard curve drawing and solution pipetting and diluting are the main factors causing measurement uncertainty. In order to improve the accuracy of laboratory measurement results, the key lies in standardizing the use of glass instruments and accurately conducting precision standard solution absorbance tests.
