Research on coal quality and coking characteristics of typical mixed coking coal in Heilongjiang Province
Although China has abundant coal resources,high-quality coking coal resources are limited.Scientific and reasonable coal blending is not only a basic measure to ensure coke quality and meet the production requirements of coke ovens,but also an effective way to reasonably utilize coal resources and save high-quality coking clean coal.In order to provide basic technical support for coking coal blending,typical coking coal from Heilongjiang province was selected for research on coal quality characteristics and coking characteristics.Combining the evaluation of coal quality characteristics and coking characteristics based on typical coking coal,cooperated with small coke oven exper-iments,from the distribution of vitrinite reflectance,the influence of coke microstructure on coke strength,and the correlation between flowability index and other characteristic indicators,etc,the influence of coal gasification de-gree,coal rock composition and other properties on coke quality were studied.The results show that the collected coal samples are mixed coal with high cohesive but poor fluidity,and the correlation between maximum fluidity index(MF)and caking index(G),maximum thickness of the plastic layer(Y)and vitrinite reflectance(Rmax)is poor.For mixed coal,it is not possible to simply analyze the influence of Gieseler flowability or coal rock indicators on the mechanical and thermal strength of coke.Through the analysis of the microstructure of coke,the sum of isotropic and fine-grained inlaid structure is greater than 75%,resulting in low strength and poor quality.The high bonding index of coking coal indicates that the plastic body in the coal sample has a good ability to bind inert substances,but the low Gibbs flowability of the coal sample indicates that the fluidity of the plastic body in coking coal in Heilongjiang province is poor,which is not conducive to the fusion between the plastic body and coal particles or inert substances during coking.This may be related to the inclusion of a large amount of low metamorphic coal in the coal sample.It is recommended to optimize the structure of the blended coal by adding coal samples with a wide plastic range,high fluidity,and high inertinity to improve the bonding properties of the plastic body of blended coal.
