The study of sample mass for determination of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen content in solid biomass fuel by thermal conductivity method
The fast and accurate determination of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen content in solid biomass fuel is of great significance for guiding the production of solid biomass fuel and controlling air pollution. The sample mass af-fects the measurement period, measurement cost and accuracy of results by using thermal coductivity method directly. There were 15 representative solid biomass fuels samples selected for determining the carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen contents in 6 gradients at the weighing range from 10~100 mg.The precision and accuracy analysis of the carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen contents with different sample masses were analyzed by using mathematical statistics and figu-ring.The appropriate sample range was determined. The results show that, the carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen con-tents of all samples can meet the requirements at the sample mass of 50~70 mg,and the trend of changes in the measurement results is gentle. There is no significant difference in the precision and accuracy of the carbon,hydro-gen and nitrogen contents at 50,60 and 70 mg,which shows no obvious pattern,so that it is recommended that the sample mass should be 50~70 mg.
