Integration Characteristics and Optimization Strategies of the Components of Pedagogical Content Knowledge(PCK)of Pre-service Chinese Language Teachers:Examples from Elementary Grammar Teaching
Based on the pentagon-shaped Pedagogical Content Knowledge(PCK)Model,this study adopts PCK map and PCK Rubric to investigate the integration characteristics and levels of the components of PCK for 10 pre-service Chinese language teachers in elementary grammar teaching.The results make following indications:firstly,the integration of PCK elements has demonstrated individual differences;secondly,teaching strategy knowledge and other elements connect with the highest frequency,and evaluating knowledge and other elements connect with least frequency;thirdly,the integration of the teaching experience group is better than the group without teaching experience,and the integration level of the teaching experience group is higher than the group without teaching experience;fourthly,pre-service Chinese language teachers boast eight PCK sub-types;fifthly,the level of pre-service Chinese language teachers'PCK is above average.According to the results of the study,the enhancement of pre-service Chinese teachers'grammar teaching ability should be better promoted by improving the knowledge system in pre-service Chinese language teacher training,cultivating pre-service Chinese teachers'awareness of PCK integration,and emphasizing the utility of teaching practice in PCK integration.
