Research on shear bearing capacity of post-installed adhesive rebar
Post-installed adhesive rebars are widely used in concrete structures. As key structural connecting components, their shear performance still needs further research. In order to obtain an accurate calculation method for the shear bearing capacity of post-installed adhesive rebar, this paper prepared a total of 42 test specimens, for which three main influencing factors were taken into account:the depth of post-installed adhesive rebar, the strength of concrete substrate, and the diameter of post-installed adhesive rebar. The shear bearing capacity and shear load versus displacement curves of each specimen were obtained through shear tests, and a four-fold line failure model for post-installed adhesive rebar was established.Based on the experimental results,a modified formula for the shear bearing capacity of existing standard post-installed adhesive rebar was obtained through theoretical analysis. The results indicate that the concrete in the compression zone of the post-installed adhesive rebar was broken before reaching the steel failure, indicating that the shear bearing capability of the post-installed adhesive rebar has failed before the steel failure. Therefore, the second turning point in the four-fold line failure model is taken as the shear design value. When the compressive strength of concrete is less than or equal to 40 MPa,the lower the concrete strength, the smaller the shear bearing capacity of the post-installed adhesive rebar. On the contrary, the strength of concrete has almost no effect on the shear bearing capacity.Under the same burial depth and concrete strength conditions, the larger the diameter of the post-installed adhesive rebar, the greater its shear bearing capacity, with its growth efficiency being decreasing. For most of the working conditions, the calculation formula for the shear bearing capacity of the post-installed adhesive rebar proposed in this article exhibits less than 3%difference between the calculation results and experimental results.
