Bridge Response during Typhoon Period Based on Monitoring Data
Response evolution analysis based on the structural health monitoring(SHM)data during the typhoon period has vital importance to the safety assessment and assurance of bridge structures in the costal region. The changes of the environmental conditions and the evolution processes of the key structural responses of a single tower cable-stayed bridge without backstay in Zhejiang was studied in this paper. The whole process data including structural vibration, stress and deflection was obtained from the SHM system of the bridge during the typhoon Meihua in 2022.The results show that the environmental temperature decreases while the humidity increases during the typhoon. While there is an outstanding changing trend for the vibration of the cables, the vertical vibration and stress response of the girder are relatively stable. After the typhoon, most of the structural responses recover to the historical level before the typhoon, indicating a non-significant influence on the bridge health condition due to the typhoon.
