Publishing Service Capability of Comprehensive Journal of Humanities and Sciences for Host University
In order to evaluate the service capability of the comprehensive journal of humanities and sciences for the host university,the present paper,based on the most basic and core journal publishing index,proposes four concepts of ideal service capability,possible service capability,actual service capability and service sincerity index,constructs corresponding calculation model and conducts a specific study with 12 comprehensive journals of humanities and sciences from Jiangsu,Zhejiang,and Shanghai as samples.The results show that the average annual publication volume of the 12 journals is relatively low and shows a decreasing trend year by year.As mainly affected by the low volume of articles,journal's possible sevice capacity is 38.64％.Besides,as further affected by the low to medium level service sincerity index,its actual service capacity is only 20.64％and there are significant differences among individual journals.In terms of actual service capability evaluation,the Journal of Lishui University scores the highest,4.48 times higher than the Journal of Huaiyin Institute of Technology.It is recommended that the host university takes such measures as training the editorial team,providing financial support and tilting appropriately to the journal in terms of scientific research evaluation so as to effectively improve the publishing service capacity of the journal.
