An Overview on University Campus Planning from the Perspective of Green Infrastructure
To address the contradiction between urban spatial growth and ecological network system, this study, starting from the rise, concepts and connotations of university campus planning and green infrastructure, outlines the research focus and achievements of university campus planning across different development periods and by comparing the developmental history and theoretical research status both domestically and internationally, summarizes three major stages of domestic research on university campus planning over the past decade and identifies similar research hotspots abroad. The research indicates that, compared with international standards, domestic theoretical research, technological tools, and practical experience related to green infrastructure are relatively underdeveloped, and the integration of green infrastructure theory into campus planning research is still lagging behind.Based on this,it is proposed that diverse and systematic green infrastructure theories and technologies should be employed in the evaluation, planning, and construction of university campuses and new ways should be explored to improve the quality of the ecological environment and meet the new needs of the public for a better life.
