A self-rating depression scale(SDS)was used to conduct a mental health survey on young university teachers in Zhejiang province,providing reference opinions for improving the mental health level of this population.SDS was conducted among full-time teachers in 7 universities in Zhejiang province,and a total of 536 valid questionnaires were collected.The results showed that the total scores of factors such as somatization,mood disorders,psychomotor disorders,and psychotic emotional symptoms among young university teachers were significantly higher than the domestic norm level.There were significant differences in the psychological health status of young university teachers with different professional titles,teaching experience,and gender.The mental health status of young teachers with teaching experience of 4-5 years,intermediate professional titles,and female universities is the most serious,which urgently needs to be highly concerned by individuals,schools,and society.
