Shaking table test of existing stone masonry structure with two floors and two compartments
In order to investigate the seismic performance of existing masonry buildings in the coastal area of southern Fujian province, shaking table test was carried out on a 1/2 scale typical two-story double-bay masonry structure model to analyze the failure forms, structural dynamic characteristics and dynamic response of the model under earthquake action. The results showed that the cracks of the model wall developed in step shape under the action of bi-directional input ground motion. The corner torsion of the wall was obvious. The damage around the door and window openings was more serious, and the structure was weak. With the increase of the peak value of the input seismic acceleration, the natural frequency of the model decreased and the damping ratio increased. When PGA=25 Gal,the model was intact. When PGA=50 Gal,the model had a moderate damage degree. When PGA=75 Gal,the model failed suddenly, and the maximum interlayer displacement angle was 1/162,reaching the degree of serious failure. The research showed that the seismic performance of existing masonry houses in the coastal area of southern Fujian was poor.
