Effect of horizontal displacement of transmission tower foundation on internal force of rods
To investigate the influence of foundation horizontal displacement on the variation of internal forces in the main materials of a transmission tower and the diagonal materials at the bottom of the tower,an equivalent stiffness was applied to the main materials in the transverse section.Based on the matrix displacement method and least squares method,calculation formulas for the variation of bending moment in the main materials of the tower leg and axial force in the diagonal materials at the bottom of the tower with foundation horizontal displacement were derived.The two formulas took into account the effects of the main material slope and aspect ratio.The results showed that the variation of bending moment in the main materials of the tower under foundation horizontal displacement was independent of the structural form of the tower's transverse section.The variation of axial force in the diagonal members at the bottom of the tower under foundation horizontal displacement was only related to relative displacement along the diagonal direction of the tower's cross section.The finite element simulation results for transmission towers under foundation horizontal displacement were consistent with the two calculation formulas.
