摘要
面子分为积极面子和消极面子。面子理论在中国由来已久,在跨文化交际中的应用尤为突出。拥有恰当的面子观念可以实现预想的交际功能。本文试用面子理论分析赫斯特伍德的求职失败经历,并提出要坚持正确的面子观以实现个人价值。
Abstract
Face theory is divided into the positive face and the negative face. It has been developed for a long time. It is especially used in the intercultural communication. The positive concept of face can help to realize the ideal communicative function in the appropriate way. The writer tries to apply it to analyze the unsuccessful experience in hunting jobs of Hustwood. He set the example for us to insist the positive concept of face in life to fulfill the individual value.
