语境就是使用语言的环境。它包括使用语言的一切主客观因素。美国学者霍尔将其分为高语境和低语境两种。中国和美国由于所处的语境不同,从而造成了文化的差异;但随着中西交流增多,中国文化逐渐趋于低语境文化。
Abstract
The notion of high-low context is firstly proposed by Edward.T.Hall （1976）, an American anthropologist. Hall＇s description of two styles of communication provides a general characterization of American and Chinese styles of communication, respectively, and they are different. But, Chinese, formerly very high-context communication, is now switching to low-context communication gradually with the globalization.
