Decoloring Technique and Efficiency for Carya cathayensis Oil
Using the visible spectrophotometry,decoloring efficiency of diatomite,activated clay,activated carbon,macroporous resin,and zeolite is explored for Carya cathayensis oil.Parameters of Carya cathayensis oil are optimized by Box-Behnken Design.The result shows that the optimum extraction condition is obtained as follows:the additive amount of activated clay 3.5%,the temperature 70 ℃,the time 35 min and agitation speed 170 r/min,which can make the decoloring rate add to 81.85%.After decoloring,the Carya cathayensis oil is light lemon yellow and the pigment contem is lower.
