Research Progress on the Development and Application of Arabinoxylan
Arabinoxylan(Arabinoxylan,AX)is a hemicellulose widely found diverse cereals.Recently it has been a research hotspot because of its excellent material properties and biological activities.This paper systematically introduced AX from the aspects of source,structure,extraction,purification,physical and chemical properties,physiological function and so on.In vivo,AX and its degradation products play physiological functions,such as hypoglycemia,blood lipids,antioxidation,im-mune regulation and probiotics through direct and indirect mechanisms.By now AX had been applied in functional food,biomedicine,cosmetics and other fields.It was functional material with promising potential and wide application value.
