In this paper,four different drying methods of hot air,heat pump,infrared and vacuum were used to dry tobacco leaves,and the drying characteristics and color difference of tobacco leaves were studied.The results showed that the drying time of vacuum was the shortest,the drying time of hot air and heat pump is similar,and the drying time of infrared was longer.The color difference value of dried tobacco leaves changed obviously compared with that of fresh tobacco leaves.The order of color difference ΔE of tobacco leaves under different drying techniques was infrared drying＞hot air drying＞heat pump drying＞vacuum drying.The vacuum was better than the other three drying methods and was more suitable for the industrial production of tobacco drying.
