Jasmine Processing and Essential Oil Main Components,Pharmacological and Toxicologic Research
Jasmine is an evergreen shrub in the genus Jasmine of the family Oleaceae and is widely used for the treatment of toothache,ulcers,wounds,and other ailments.Jasmine has been introduced to China since the Tang Dynasty,and has be-come a traditional Chinese medicine,which has the effect of regulating qi and relieving pain,eliminating filth and opening up depression,clearing heat and removing toxins.Jasmine essential oil(Jasmine essential oil,JEO)is known as the"king of essential oils",was extracted from jasmine with a special aroma of oily natural products,with antibacterial,antiviral,anti-cancer,antidepressant,anti-anxiety,and other effects.External use of jasmine essential oil can cause allergies,especially in women and the elderly;oral toxicity may be minimal and has been included in the national food additives,but the toxicity of jasmine essential oil has not been reported in the study.This paper summarized the pharmacological activity and safety of jasmine essential oil by studying its main components,pharmacological and toxicology effects to provide reference for its in-depth development and wide application.
