Analysis of the Current Situation of Exogenous Harmful Residues in Chinese Medicinal Materials and Slices
Through analyzing the testing data of 40 000 batches of traditional Chinese medicine and decoction pieces,it was found that the overall qualification rate of exogenous harmful residues in traditional Chinese medicine was high, and most of the residues did not exceed the limit value. The pollution situation of exogenous harmful residues in some varieties was still relatively severe, and some medicinal parts such as flowers, leaves, and whole grass had a high rate of exceeding the limit of prohibited pesticides. Some varieties had a high rate of heavy metal disqualification. The pollution status of aflatoxin in some seeds and animal medicinal materials was not optimistic. Some roots and flowers had high levels of sulfur dioxide residues.By analyzing the current standards and pollution status,it was suggested that the monitoring of exogenous harmful residues in traditional Chinese medicine should be a key focus, helping to promote the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
