Research Progress in Industrial Application of Xylanase
Xylan,a type of hemicellulose mainly composed of xylose residues,is the main component of plant cell walls and the second most abundant nature biomass resource after cellulose.Xylanase,an enzyme crucial for breaking down xylan, has gained attention due to the increased demand for sustainable and"green"solutions to energy problems.Utilizing xylanase to degrade xylan not only leverages natural resources efficiently but also helps in reducing costs. The physicochemical properties and functions of xylanase vary across different glucoside hydrolase families, and these had been extensively reviewed and sum-marized.Moreover,the potential application and future development trends of xylanase were been explored, with prospects for its use in various industries, including biofuel production and environmentally friendly industrial processes.
