Research Progress on Hydrogen Embrittlement Protection against Hydrogen-doped Natural Gas Pipelines
In order to promote the strategic goal of low-carbon development, hydrogen transportation through natural gas pipelines,as one of the important means to achieve large-scale,long-distance and low-cost hydrogen transportation, has been vigorously developed in recent years. However, the addition of hydrogen to the safety of pipeline transportation can not be ignored.Based on the current research status of hydrogen-doped natural gas, this paper proposes several measures to prevent hydrogen embrittlement from the perspective of hydrogen embrittlement of pipeline steel according to the service en-vironment of pipelines.Inhibiting gases such as CO,CH4 and O2 can be inhibited by competitive adsorption alone or in co-ordination with hydrogen embrittlement.Common alloy coatings and two-dimensional novel materials with high hydrogen re-sistance(graphene,BN,MXene and TMDs).The pipeline steel is modified by heat treatment and addition of alloying ele-ments,including heat treatment to adjust the structure and grain boundaries, adding alloying elements to increase hydrogen resistance precipitates, etc.
