Development of Knowledge,Belief and Practice Scale for perinatal palliative care of obstetric nurses and its reliability and validity
Objective To develop a knowledge,belief and practice(KPA)scale for perinatal palliative care of obstetric nurses suitable for domestic cultural background,and to test its reliability and validity.Methods According to the theory of KAP,the draft of the scale was developed after literature review.Expert consultation was conducted with Delphi method and 604 obstetric nurses were investigated to test the reliability and validity of the scale,and the final version of the scale was formed.Results The KPA scale of perinatal palliative care of obstetric nurses included 3 dimensions,11 factors,and 51 items.The coefficient was 0.959,and the retest reliability 0.976,and the content validity 0.980;The exploratory factor analysis proposed 11 common factors,with the cumulative variance contribution rate of 87.745%.The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the scale model had a good fit.Conclusion The KPA scale for perinatal palliative care of obstetric nurses has good reliability and validity,and can be used in clinical practice as an evaluation scale.
