Learning experience in adapting comics into sitcoms of nursing undergraduates:a qualitative study
Objective To design and implement a teaching scheme of adapting comics into sitcoms,and to explore the learning experience of nursing students.Methods Descriptive phenomenology was used to interview 10 nursing undergraduates who learned to adapt comics into sitcoms,and the data were analyzed by Colaizzi 7-step analysis method.Results Three themes and nine sub-themes were extracted:learning experience(novel and interesting form and enhancing personal confidence),learning gains(consolidating professional knowledge,improving communication and cooperation ability,improving humanistic care quality,and helping to stimulate multiple intelligence),and learning feedback(shortcomings in professional ability,unclear task objectives,and self-efficacy to be improved).Conclusion The teaching scheme of adapting comics into sitcoms has a positive effect.Educators need to collaboratively deconstruct the objectives to delineate specific learning tasks and competencies across disciplines.Interdisciplinary capabilities need to be strengthened through various instructional strategies.Additionally,employing diversified assessments can help cultivate students'self-efficacy.
