Current status of moral resilience and its influencing factors in pediatric nurses:a 316-case study
Objective To investigate the current status of moral resilience of pediatric nurses,and analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 316 pediatric nurses from 7 tertiary grade-A hospitals in Beijing were selected as the research subjects from May to June 2023,and they were investigated by a General Information Questionnaire,Rushton Moral Resilience Scale,Moral Courage Scale,Self-efficacy Scale and Hospital Ethical Climate Scale.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of moral resilience of pediatric nurses.Results The average total score of moral resilience of pediatric nurses was48.18±6.39.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that sex,professional title,department,self-efficacy and hospital ethical atmosphere were the influencing factors of moral resilience(P<0.05),accounting for 22.1%of the total variables.Conclusion Moral resilience of pediatric nurses is above the average level,which is mainly affected by sex,professional title,department,self-efficacy and hospital ethical climate.It is suggested that nurse managers should carry out targeted training and learning on moral practice and coping strategies,and pay more attention to specific groups.To improve the moral resilience of pediatric nurses,enhancing their self-efficacy and fostering a positive ethical atmosphere in the hospital should be considered.
