Latent categories of moral courage among nurses in oncology department and its influencing factors
Objective To explore the latent categories of moral courage of nurses in oncology department and analyze its influencing factors.Methods From August to September 2022,a total of 502 oncology nurses from a tertiary grade-A hospital in Henan Province were selected as the research objects by convenience sampling.The General Information Questionnaire,Nurses'Moral Courage Scale and Psychological Resilience Scale were used the investigation.Mplus 8.0 was used for potential profile analysis,and ordered multiple logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate the influencing of each factor on different types.Results The moral courage of oncology nurses could be divided into three latent categories:low level moral courage group(42.8%),medium level moral courage group(39.9%)and high level moral courage group(17.3%).The influencing factors included age and resilience score(all P<0.05).Conclusion There are three latent categories of moral courage of nurses in oncology department.Age and mental toughness are important factors affecting the potential types of moral courage,which provide basis for developing targeted interventions for oncology nurses with different types of moral courage.
