Effect of video playback method in rotating nurse training in operating room in context of Internet of Things
Objective To explore the effect of video playback method under the background of Internet of Things(LoT)in the training for rotating nurses in the operating room. Methods Based on the employment date,37 rotating nurses in operating room from July to December 2022 were selected as control group, and 38 rotating nurses from January to June 2023 as observation group. The observation group underwent video playback method, while the control group received conventional method. The study compared teaching period for handwashing, satisfaction of doctors and circulating nurse with the operation of rotating nurses, and core competency and work experience of rotating nurses in the two groups. Results The observation group had shorter teaching period for handwashing than the control group, and the satisfaction of doctors and circulating nurses with the cooperation of rotating nurses were higher in the observation group than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences(P>0.05)between the two groups of rotating nurses in terms of theoretical knowledge assessment and operational skill assessment.Interviews indicated that rotating nurses were satisfied with this teaching model. Conclusion In the context of IoT,video playback method shows great potential in nursing education, promoting the growth of rotating nurses in operating room. This teaching model enhances peer satisfaction and improves the work experience of rotating nurses. However,no significant effectiveness of video playback method in improving core skills is observed, and improvements are needed in the future.
