A Study of Street Configuration and Commercial Density in Macau
Based on the digital mapping of the street-level commercial activities observed on-site, this study applies the space syntax theory and employs quantitative analysis to examine the spatial patterns of retails distribution in Macau. By studying the relationship between the street configuration and the commercial density, the study reveals the functional differentiation among the commercial centers that are distributed across distinct districts of Macau.
