The Level of Rural Revitalization in Guangdong Province:Measurement,Regional Disparities,and Dynamic Evolution
As the largest province in China's economy,Guangdong Province is at the forefront of promoting rural revitalization in the country.However,there are significant differences in the level of rural revitalization among different regions in Guangdong Province.To further investigate this issue,this paper uses methods such as spatiotemporal range entropy weight,Q-type clustering,Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition,Kernel density estimation,and Markov chain to explore the level of rural revitalization,regional disparities,and their dynamic evolution in Guangdong Province from 2017 to 2022.Research has found that the level of rural revitalization in various prefecture level cities and regions in Guangdong Province has been increasing year by year,but regional disparities remain significant;The relative regional gap is fluctuating and decreasing;The absolute gap is widening and there is a phenomenon of multipolarity;The overall gap mainly stems from regional disparities;With the continuous promotion of the rural revitalization strategy,the level of rural revitalization in various cities will eventually stabilize at medium to high and high levels.Based on the above findings,the following suggestions are proposed:fully utilize the resource advantages of various regions in Guangdong Province,strengthen regional coordinated development,actively play the leading role of the Pearl River Delta region,focus on improving the sustainability of rural revitalization,and establish an effective monitoring and evaluation mechanism.
