Based on the panel data from China Elderly Health Impact Factors Survey(CLHLS)of the three waves 2011-2018,we analyze the impact of the implementation of long-term care insurance policies on the multi-dimensional relative poverty of the elderly by difference-in-differences model(DID).The findings are as follows:(1)The implementation of the long-term care insurance policy has significantly alleviated the multi-dimensional relative poverty of the elderly;(2)Mechanism analysis shows that long-term care insurance can reduce the multi-dimensional relative poverty of the elderly by improving their health levels;(3)Heterogeneity analysis show that the alleviating effect of long-term care insurance on the multi-dimensional relative poverty of the elderly is more significant in the patients with severe disabilities and critical diseases. Finally, countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from the perspective of improving the development of the long-term care insurance system. This study enriches the relevant research on the effects of long-term care insurance policies.
