In this study,48 reports on the 24 solar terms culture in China Daily were investigated using transitivity system labe-ling and ecological discourse analysis methods.The results of the study show that the material,relational process and its participant components reflecting the changes of the festival,agricultural activities and meteorological characteristics account for a relatively high proportion of the corpus.At the same time,the above components also carry background information about harmonious coexistence be-tween human and nature,including scope,positioning,mode and causal environment components.The high-frequency vocabulary highlights the ecological position of human beings in assuming ecological responsibility and valuing nature in each component.Through the ecological discourse under transitivity system,this study draws the following conclusions:cultural reports show the ecological effects of human beings'understanding,conformity,protection of nature and harmonious coexistence with nature,reflecting the fusion of hu-manities and nature in the excellent traditional Chinese culture,which is of great significance in guiding the public to correctly perceive the relationship between human beings and nature.
