The Impact of Board Structure on Enterprise Innovation from the Perspective of Three-Dimensional Heterogeneity——An empirical study based on Chinese manufacturing listed companies
The personnel structure characteristics of the board of directors have an important impact on enterprise innovation strategy and key decisions.Heterogeneity is an important index to measure the personnel structure characteristics of the board of direc-tors.Using the empirical data of Chinese manufacturing listed companies,this paper empirically tests the impact of the heterogeneity of three key dimensions of board member structure,namely demographic structure,knowledge structure and geocultural structure,on en-terprise innovation.The results show that the three-dimensional heterogeneity of board structure shows an inverted"U"relationship with enterprise innovation output,which means that there is an"optimal"point or interval for the heterogeneity of board personnel structure to enterprise innovation output.The research found that it has good value for the development of innovation theory and man-agement practice based on enterprise high-level team structure.
