Three Dimensions of Shaping Good Youth in the New Era
In the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping put forward that"good youth of the new era should be determined to do things with ideals,dares to take responsibility,is able to endure hardships and is willing to struggle",which pointed out the direction for the growth and success of contemporary Chinese youth.From the perspective of theoreti-cal sources,the standard of good youth in the new era stems from the essence of Marxist youth thought,from the genetic code of Chi-nese excellent traditional culture,and from the successful experience of the Communist Party of China's youth work.From the perspec-tive of value implication,the proposal of good youth in the new era is a continuous inheritance of the fine tradition of Chinese youth,a realistic requirement of the great cause of national rejuvenation,and a timely response to the needs of youth growth and success in the new era.Finally,on the basis of a deep understanding of the good youth in the new era,the contemporary youth should strengthen their self-cultivation and temper their skills in accordance with the four requirements of"believe in your heart,you can go far","dare to do what you can do,you can do a great job","suffer in the past,enjoy in the future","life is diligent,diligence is not wanting".
