Analysie of compressive strength and characteristics of fine-grained soils for cement-improved roadbeds
The fine-grained spoil generated in the construction of the project can be effectively reduced by using ce-ment to improve its resource utilization, but the influence of cement on the compressive strength of fine-grained soil is not clear, and the microscopic mechanism of strength improvement has not been revealed. Therefore, the effects of cement content and curing age on the unconfined compressive characteristics were studied by unconfined com-pressive test, and the improvement mechanism of cement was revealed by scanning electron microscope test. The re-sults showed that cement doping in fine-grained soil significantly provided the unconfined compressive strength and modulus of elasticity E50,and the cement-improved fine-grained soil had the property of early-strengthening.The total energy per unit volume of the specimen increased gradually with the increase of cement doping and the in-crease of the maintenance time, the cement improvement can significantly improve the unconfined compressive strength of fine-grained soils.
