Since Francis Fukuyama proposed the"End of History"thesis,a continuous stream of aca-demic criticism has produced a rich body of research literature.A review of these works reveals that critiques of Fukuyama's"End of History"are primarily conducted from two dimensions:theoretical and practical.Theoretical critiques mostly focus on the thesis's foundational premises, argumentation process, ultimate conclusions, and subsequently point out its inherent dilemmas.Practical critiques,on the other hand, mainly disprove the theory through evidence drawn from the reality of the develop-ment of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the current state of capitalism, and changes in Fuku-yama's own thinking.Reflecting on the landscape of critiques of the"End of History"thesis aids in understanding the essence of Fukuyama's conclusion, revealing the true nature of his theoretical per-spective,comprehending the contemporary value of occupying the high ground of public opinion and international discourse, interpreting the global significance of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, strengthening the"Four Confidences,"and injecting more strategic determination into the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country. This,in turn, contributes Chinese wisdom and a Chinese approach to the realization of modernization for humanity.
