To promote the application of wicked heat pipe in motor cooling and provide theoretical reference and data support,this paper experimentally studied the effects of heating power,operating angle,and wind speed on the effective thermal conductivity of wicked heat pipes.Results showed that the effective thermal conductivity of wicked heat pipe changed slightly if the heat pipe is within the normal operation.Different operating angles have clearly impact on the effective thermal conductivity,which would range as high as 25% at 10 W of heating power.When the wind speed increases,the equivalent thermal conductivity of the heat pipe shows a decreasing trend,which is particularly evident for the operation of heat pipes under high heating power.
