Exploring the path to achieving the modernization of China's national security legislation is an integral aspect of effectively addressing various risks and threats,advancing the modernization of the na-tional security system and capabilities,and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Although the modernization of China's national security legislation has entered a golden period,it is still in the very early stage.Issues such as inadequate legislative concepts,numerous legislative gaps,and inconsistencies among existing laws persist.To fully promote the modernization of China's national security legislation,a comprehensive approach is required,prioritizing the advancement of legislative concepts,systems and ca-pacities.Specifically,efforts should be focused on the construction of a systematic and cohesive framework for national security legislation;the intensification of non-traditional security legislation for promptly filling the gaps in critical domains;the acceleration of legislative process through enactment,amendment and re-peal to increase the updating of laws;as well as the leveraging of foreign-related rule of law as critical tools for international engagement and competition to enhance the intensity of legislation.
