Review of the European Union's Economic Security Strategy from the Perspective of Securitization Theory
In recent years, driven by complex internal and external factors, the European Union has over-expanded the concept of national security, resulting in a securitization turn in its economic policies. In June 2023,the EU introduced its first Economic Security Strategy.Within the framework of the securitization theory of the Copenhagen School, securitization actors within the EU construct security threats in the eco-nomic sector through speech act, shaping a common understanding of economic security in Europe and com-pleting the securitization process through special measures.Under the trend of economic securitization,China should actively adopt de-securitization strategy while safeguarding its own interests.Guided by the holistic approach to national security,China should adhere to the correct direction of economic globalization and promote the construction of an open world economy.
