Design and Experiment of Reuleaux Triangle Press Wheel for No Tillage Seeder
A Reuleaux triangle rigid press wheel was designed to address the issues of high operational resistance and poor soil flatness in the planting ditch of no tillage seeder when residue is on the surface.Taking the fixed width, height, and width of the press wheel as experimental factors, and the working resistance, soil flatness, and soil subsidence as in-dicators,the Central Composite Face-centered design(CCF)was used for discrete element simulation optimization ex-periments.Analyzing the experimental data and derive a regression model to obtain the optimal structural parameters of the press wheel. The simulation results showed that the optimal operating performance was achieved when the width and height of the press wheel were 274.75 mm and 78.49 mm,with a working resistance of 32.73 N,a soil flatness of 2.64 mm,and a soil subsidence of 14.25 mm.And compared with traditional press wheels in the field, the results showed that the soil bulk density after the operation of the Leluo triangle press wheel was 1.16 g/cm3,which met the conditions for crop growth. The resistance of the Reuleaux triangle press wheel during operation was reduced by 9.1%compared to traditional press wheels, and the flatness of the surface was improved by 15.3%.This study provided new ideas and ref-erences for the design of the press wheel of no tillage seeder.
