The Path to Achieving Common Prosperity for Smallholder in Agricultural Industrialization Management—Based on the Research of Benefit Distribution and Industrial Governance Strategies
Agricultural modernization is a key route to achieving common prosperity, with the crux being the coordination of interest distribution mechanisms and industrial governance strategies within agricultural industrialization. This paper, examining the sucrose industry as a case study from a multi-stakeholder perspective, focuses on the distribution of benefits and the industrial governance system in agricultural industrialization management. It explores whether farmers can benefit from the large-scale agricultural industry. The research reveals that the sustained development of agricultural industrialization relies on the tight-knit interest community formed by the government, capital, and farmers.A stable industrial system can lower transaction costs for small-scale farmers during production and planting, reduce production uncertainty, and enable them to benefit from the improved external environment of agricultural production and the industry's spillover effects.During the industrial transformation phase, small farmers employ various strategies to benefit from changes in livelihood models, planting structures, industrial system transformations, and agricultural production model shifts. The study suggests that it is essential to foster a dynamically balanced market interest relationship and an industrial governance system.By expanding and strengthening the"cake"of agricultural industrialization,we can promote the realization of common prosperity and the endogenous development of agriculture as it modernizes.
