Experimental Study on Slurry Modulation in Horizontal Directional Drilling Construction
In loose water-rich silty clay layers,horizontal directional excavation is prone to hole collapse and drilling accidents.The use of solid waste cementitious materials to improve the strength of silty clay layers can reduce the difficulty of construction.The experimental study on the slurry ratio of silty clay layers improved by the solid waste material is carried out.The influence of mixing different qualities of solid waste on the slurry performance is discussed while the changes in the slurry performance of the improved silty clay layers under different solid-water ratio is in discussion.The test results indicate that the addition of solid waste ce-mentitious materials has little effect on the performance of powdery clay-bentonite slurry,and all the performance indexes of the slurry can meet the requirements.The appropriate propor-tion of solid waste content is not more than 10%.In this paper,the slurry formula provides a favorable data reference for the smooth construction of horizontal directional drilling in loose silty clay layers.
