The agglomeration of tourism industry is an important method for the spatial layout in tourism,which is thus of great significance in promoting high-quality development of the tourism economy.This paper constructs an indicator system for high-quality development of tourism economy,which is then used to calculate the comprehensive index of high-quality de-velopment of tourism economy in 14 cities of Guangxi from 2010 to 2021 by aid of entropy method,analyzes the spatial effect of tourism industry agglomeration on high-quality development of economy with the help of the spatial Durbin model,and clari-fies how the two affect each other under certain constraints through the panel threshold model.The research results indicate that:(1)the agglomeration of tourism industries in different cities of Guangxi is found to have a positive effect on their own high-quality economic development;(2)The agglomeration of tourism industry exerts a spatial spillover effect on high-quality economic development;(3)Under the constraints of regional tourism innovation capability,industrial structure,and consump-tion level,tourism industry agglomeration has a non-linear and heterogeneous impact on high-quality economic development.This study analyzes the spatial effects and impact mechanisms of tourism industry agglomeration on high-quality economic de-velopment,and accordingly proposes corresponding policy recommendations to drive economic development in the new era.
